The Norwegian National Day is on Wednesday and I’m pretty excited about it! We usually celebrate it in Oslo, but this time we’re going to celebrate in Nesodden, which is a twenty minute ferry ride out of the city.
I don’t own the traditional Norwegian costume, the Bunad, as it costs more than a Chanel bag and I haven’t been lucky enough to inherit one. It’s definitely on my list of things that I wish for myself.
I chose to wear a beautiful outfit that mixes tulle, draped fabric and neutral colors.
And while I am saving up for an outfit that costs more than a very expensive Chanel bag, I can wear my Chanel shoes, which have about the same cost-per-wear as a Bunad. I save them for special occasions, in order not to wear them out. Here in Norway a Bunad can be worn to events such as weddings, Christmas, and christenings. I love that girls and women are so proud of their traditional dresses.
I am wearing full outfit from Bik Bok (gifted) and shoes from Chanel
